Two Girls and Leash, LLC was born to fill a need for animal care in northern Durham County for pet and farm animals. When Kris needed someone to care for her animals when she worked long shifts , had an after work engagement or wanted to go out of town, it was difficult to find someone in the area. With her extensive dog, cat and horse experience, she decided to fill this void herself!

Kristine and her staff recognize how important it is for people to know that their pets are well cared for all the time. She wanted to find a way to provide relief for pets when their humans work long hours and exercise for pets when their humans can’t accommodate due to physical or schedule restrictions. Peace of mind is their goal, and they want to provide reliable, honest, caring and experienced pet care.

Kris grew up with cats, dogs, fish, rabbits and assortment of other animals in New Jersey. She has been an equestrian for over 15 years. She moved to North Carolina and made her home here in 2002, bringing her love of animals down south—she currently has horses, dogs, cats, goats and ducks on her farm. Kris isn’t just an animal lover in her personal life—she has worked as the practice manager for a local veterinary hospital and as a pet obedience trainer —making her a professional animal lover as well. Kris competes in dog agility events with her youngest black lab and has a retired masters level agility dog too. When she’s not walking dogs or mucking stalls, she can be found at a store that she co owns in downtown Durham, The Artisan Market at 305. Kris sells her jewelry and photography at the Durham Craft Market and other regional art shows as well.
